If you’re at Lipensko region, you just have to check out the route around the lake – whether you’re on a road bike or a gravel bike.
In Vyšší Brod, hop on the beautiful new Vltava Cycle Route, which gently climbs all the way to Lipno nad Vltavou.
Follow the right shore of the lake on flat terrain to Přední Výtoň, where you can try a little time trial – just before the Austrian Bay, take a sharp left and head towards the Schwarzenberg Canal.
Over the ridge, make a short detour up an Austrian hill and treat yourself to a well-deserved refreshment at Hotel Guglwald.
Then cross the border back home and take one last climb to the abandoned village of Kapličky.
From there, it’s just a beautiful, easy ride through the scenic countryside all the way back to Vyšší Brod.
