route description

Everyone knows the Dolní Dvořiště border crossing, but casinos and grubby petrol stations aren't our thing.
This time we're heading to a different spot that matters for international traffic.
Český Hešlák is a village right on the Austrian border, where instead of cars it's international express trains racing across.
You'll cross the border too and follow it all the way to the southernmost point of Czechia.
Where else would you see the difference between these two nations than on the old farmhouses, which are really thriving on the Austrian side?
Those forty years when the free world was passing us by still show here.
Luckily the border only exists on paper these days, so you can cruise all the way to the border stream. Almost at the highest point of the route you'll sound the retreat back home, and it's an easy one this time, because it's all downhill to Vyšší Brod.
